This is late, and I don’t have a good report. However, I am trying to stick with the whole “Do what you say you are going to do” theme so here is the recap from week two of the Couch to 5K program!
The runs are still pretty easy for me but I just couldn’t find time this week to get them done. So I skipped one day of the program and didn’t stay very active for the rest of the week. Boo on me.
Here is a breakdown of my week of workouts:
- Monday: 2.7 mile walk.
- Tuesday: No workout.
- Wednesday: No workout.
- Thursday: No workout. I feel like a loser.
- Friday: Week two – Workout 1. Total time: 31 minutes. Total distance: 2.27 miles.
- Saturday: Week two – Workout 2. Total time: 26 minutes. Total distance: 1.8 miles.
- Sunday: No workout. I had to recovery from my bachelorette party
Friday I had a great run but Saturday morning I got up at 6 AM to run before I had to get ready for my bachelorette party. I kind of just hopped out of bed and went straight to the treadmill instead of stretching or warming up so my knee really started to hurt. We had a long day of walking around on Saturday and I didn’t want to mees up my knee more than I had already so I cut my workout a little short.
I will not be running this week since we are on a mini vacay, but I do plan on getting back on track next week by completing 4 runs instead of the 3 scheduled. I will be doing a lot of walking at the beach this week and then we have the kids this weekend so I will stay pretty active. I am looking forward to getting back on a schedule though.
Oh! We also booked our honeymoon and we will be going jungle-bike riding so I need to start riding mine more to build up my endurance. It is pretty terrible right now.
That’s all I’ve got for now! We have pretty interesting plans on the agenda for tonight now so I am pretty excited!
What do you do on “those” days to stay active when you just can’t find the time to workout?
I have done it before and should have done it last week but I have switched my office chair out of my fitness ball and also keep my hand weights at my desk to use when I get breaks in between work. I coud have made time for those things last week, but didn’t. That just means i need to rock it out next week now!
